Dog DNA Test Kits?

Are they for real? Has anyone used them and found them accurate?

We recently adopted a rescue puppy and are scratching our heads over her. I've lost count how many times a day someone asks what she is. I want to know what she is (the major bits in her), but I'm wary of the reviews of some of the tests out there.

Yes, they are for real and can be quite good.

They're not infallible, and they don't give a 100% profile, but it's pretty good. Research the one you use carefully and you should be fine.

I used one on our wee lady, we knew her mummy was a springer but she had different looks, is bigger etc and is gorgeous, after 12 years of wondering and people on walkies pouncing on us to ask what she is (we always proudly reply that she's a crossbreed) I got a DNA test (blackdog I think)
They have loads of breeds on their list, if your dog is a mixture of say, a collie and a really rare breed it'll give you the closest to that really rare breed, but they're regularly updating their range of breeds.

Turns out my sausage is over 70% dalamatian! As soon as we saw that we were like 'ohhhhh, of course!! Now it all makes sense!'
