Puppy being sick after 2nd injection - is it normal?

Just that really, he's been sick 3 times since we got back from the vets at about 1850. He has been floppy since we brought him back, having said that he is at the moment eyeing up the cat Hmm but he is shaking a bit I think.

Sorry to seem like a neurotic owner but OH says it's nothing to worry about, I guess I just needed some advice on whether it's normal as all I can find on google are US sites andover don't know if it's the same shots here [UK].

Should I not feed him this eve to give him chance to recover?

Thanks in advance

You could always call the out of hours vet to ask their advice. I'm trying to remember what my vet always says about injections ... being a bit out of sorts is okay, but any facial swelling means call immediately. I'm hoping he's improved since your post, but if you're worried it doesn't hurt to call and ask.

Hi thanks for your reply, spoke to OOH vet and she was really concerned about the sickness as that's not normal apparently, he's since perked up a bit [the sound/smell of me scrambling an egg seemed to help!] so he's had a bit of egg with some boiled rice, seems ok, it's so bloody scary though when they are shaking and looking so poorly and helpless.

And he just sidled past with my shoe in his mouth so fingers crossed he's back to normal, phew what a couple of hours!

Glad you spoke to the vet, it sounds like it was scary for a bit. It's great that he's perked up and I hope he's back to normal soon :)
