Jasper barked for hours last night

I'm exhausted. He started at 1.30, and only stopped at 4.30 when I gave in and slept on the sofa. He has never done this before. He also had diarrhea, and messed and wee'd in the kitchen twice during his barkathon. We've been to the vet this morning, who can find nothing wrong and has given me a sort of mastic gun of medicine to settle his tummy. I was away at the weekend, and he woke DH up at 5am with diarrhea but went back to sleep. Is it likely that the barking was just due to feeling poorly? The poor DC were like zombies going to school.

Yes, the only time our dog has ever barked at night was when she has diarrhoea. Hoovered up something nasty on the beach, filthy animal!

we had one of those mastic gun things for cherry last week. eric barks like mad at night if he hears anyone or if he needs to go out, probably was the diarrhea. hope he feels better.
