I have never not walked my dog apart from when she was spayed but this weather is really getting to me....I have friends over for late lunch so really need to go now but the rain is coming down sideways the winds are howling and it is just bloody miserable....but the pupster will love it anyway so....I got to go haven't I?

Sooner you go, sooner you're back and the longer you have to recover before your friends get here.

You need my dog for this weather!

We have got the only labrador on the planet that will not leave the house when it rains.

He wont even venture outside the back unless i go with him to do his business. I think he's worried i might leave him out there!

As for walking on wet grass, not a hope in hellConfused

We might need to invest in some doggy wellies in the futureWink

My boxers wont go out in the rain!!!

I've just sent them out for a toilet, male one would move from outside the back door (found the dry spot in the corner) and female raced to the lawn, wee'd and ran back as quick as she could.

If you get the leads out and open the back door they look outside, see the rain, look up at you and get back on their bean bag.

It has finally stopped here! Yesterday was terrible though, we went to the park to train pup as it was the only time the whole family was together over this weekend. Came back through the woods and we were all completely muddy and soaked by the time we got home. I made everyone strip off at the back door, clothes straight in the wash and the dog was washed under the outside tap Grin.

I recommend proper old school waterproofs for this weather. None of your fancy breathable nonsence...and neoprene gloves.

Our garden has a river and it has flooded the bottom of the garden. It now resembles white water rapids down there.

The dog is ridiculously excited about this situation so, not only are we having to walk him in the pissing rain, we are having to put him on the lead every time he wants to go in the garden. We are paranoid he's going to get swept away!

I have officially had enough of this rain.

At last, it has stopped raining here. But to answer your question - don the waterproofs and get out there. It is horrid, but dogs dont care.
