Hi
I know this is strictly not about dogs. But as pet owners I was wondering whether anyone worked for PAH or what their reputation as an employer / company was like? I have a lovely Springer Spaniel who is desperate to go for a walk looking at me!
Thanks

I have a close friend who works there and she says it's great. She loves all animals and enjoys her job. Gets on great with boss. I've been there and the adviser went and got the manager to ask about some ear drops for my puppy. Manager came out and confirmed to me in person it would be fine. So all the staff are very helpful and go out of their way to provide a good service in my local one.

From a rescue point of view, they are very supportive of greyhound (and other local dog) charities having meet and greets in the store, and have been very generous with donations for raffles, show prizes etc. We have also been the recipients of the collection bin at the front of the shop for food - quite rightly, this rotates quite often between different local charities.

We use our local store quite often and find the staff friendly and polite. We don't usually need to ask for advice but when we were getting some raw stuff the other day from the freezer, one of the staff was very interested and asked us (in a nice way) lots of questions about how we were finding it, changing over from kibble etc.

When we were living up in rural mid Wales, and still feeding kibble, i found the free delivery offers for the James Wellbeloved very handy. Their website is good if you don't have a store near you.

Whenever I'm in there, invariably a member of staff will come and ask if I need any help, and go out of their way to find me an answer or more information if they don't know themselves.
Had a long chat with the lady in the grooming room today. Very pleasant. Ended up booking in for a puppy orientation session, which I hadn't intended at all. Was going to find someone to come to the house!

I'm forever in ours - one of the two near is much more friendly than the other one I have to admit (and have a biscuit bowl on the counter for any doggies that wander in - which our guy LOVES). We're tarts though and bounce between there and Kennelgate whenever one has an offer on the dog food we feed.

Wish they'd move the berluddy bunnies from the front of the store though - both because the dog is bunny bonkers and the fact I'm bunny-lergic! (I come up in blisters which are not an attractive look)

i love taking my dog when i go to pets at home. Ok some of their stuff is a bit pricey but we like to have a look around at the nice dog beds and toys! Oh and my dog is now aware that if he stands up and puts his paws on the counter at the till he is garunteed a treet! lol
