SKY+ Live8 recording failed too?

According to Sky there was, quote, a software failure - kids gutted and we only watched up to Madonna - as planned a mega session today

Did anyone elses SKY+ box recording fail? Ds wants to lobby the BBC and see it they will repeat it all! Can't see it though and will have to put up with Highlight type progs

On top of this it also wiped out all our saved films! New fangled technology, mutter mutter....

ours worked ok but there has been software probs with sky+ (i work in call centre)

Ours messed up too and after i read your post i checked and it has also erased all our films grrrrrrrr.

ok just asked techno man dh and according to him it wouldnt have recorded as the amount on there would have gone over the space available on the harddrive. So even if u wanted to tape a little of it the system automatically tries to allocate space for it all.

No we checked space available and there was actually room on our recording - wiped some films (well actually nearly all) but not others -

Not happy with Sky AT ALL

They just happen to have a software failure when the biggest musical event ever is aired

I will send them the bill for the DVD of it when its on sale - grrrr!

If anyone tells me how good Robbie Williams was, or the finale, I scream

Even my elderly MIL saw it ffs!

apparently..again from dh..i have no clue it actually records all the interactive stuff even though u cant use it????????? but would still complain myself..lol

Sky are aware of software problems and are updating them, hence the reason the box is connected to tel line etc.

Software update get sent to your box twice a week

We have most of it, went a bit weird around Keane/Travis but I noticed it stopped recording and I started recording it again, no idea why it stopped recording, we had tons of space. DH gutted, he was there and apparently he was seen during the interval when JR interviwed DIDO and that appears to be the bit we have lost. So he will never see his minute of fame. Unless any wonderful people out there could send me a copy of the DIDo interview.
