My elderly mum said I'll find it funny. I'll just enjoy seeing Dustin Hoffman Mmmmmmmmm. Like Barbara Striesand in movies too and the clips look good.

Anyone else seen it? Is it funnier than the 1st?

Was just telling someone that i really want to watch this - my DH's nephew might be up on Sunday, would kids enjoy it - is it suitable for youngsters?

depends on the age i dont think young kids would understand it but older kids/teens would like it

Nearly peed myself too.

ChaCha, there are quite a few sexual inuendos so I'd be wary of younger kids seeing it tbh.

Watched it last night. Gawd I thought it was crap. Really, really, cliched. Rotten, but then I hated the first one too.

We also hired Sideways and I wish we'd watched that instead !

Never heard of sideways, what's that about?

I just got Dear Frankie in the post this morning and am sooooo excited to see that. Not a comedy though. It's an independent film and wasn't shown everywhere. It's a weepy so I'll need some kleenex.

Sideways was a bit of an indie/unexpected US hit, Review & over-view here .

"In 'Sideways', two middle-aged men who have been friends since college go on a weeklong tour of California's vineyards. Miles (Paul Giamatti) is a lonely, depressed and frustrated schoolteacher whose dreams of getting back together with his ex-wife or seeing his difficult novel published are rapidly dwindling, and whose refined tastes in wine risk sliding into a more basic alcoholism. Jack (Thomas Haden Church) is a cheery, dim-witted has-been actor about to get married, but terrified at the prospect of having to grow up and settle down. Convinced that this trip is his "last chance" to get laid and get crazy, Jack embarks on a passionate affair with local winery pourer Stephanie (Payne's real-life wife Sandra Oh), while Miles becomes involved with divorced waitress and ?nophile Maya (Virginia Madsen) - but as the week draws to a close, there are some unsavoury truths lying in wait at the bottom of the bottle. "

Cut and pasted that, lots of waffle about the Director's other work on that link page...

I'll have to disagree with most as I didn't find it that funny! (sorry!) we saw it at the cinema and couldn't wait to see it as Meet the Parents was fantastic but I was quite dissappointed (sp?) there are a few funny moments and Hoffman and Streisand play their parts well, but it wasn't a patch on the first one IMO. Hope you enjoy it though!

was quite dissapointed with meet the fockers!
funny in parts, but didnt have me ROFL!

ChaCha · 26/05/2005 14:47

It wasn't at all what i expected, what a let down I thought the funniest part of the film was right at the end as the credits were rolling - now that made me laugh
The first one was far better, that has me ROFL everytime. Hmmm..next film on my list is Kingdom of Heaven.
