Cukoo went to the himalayas and was talking to base camp about there being goats stuck really high up on the mountain really high up, they were telling him they are mountain goats and to lesve them then you hear him fall.
It makes the papers, 2 years later his wife is going out with that man she works with and bumps into Dale, they have a spark, he runs off then her mum hits him in the car, he is looking for Cukoo, they take him back to their house to recover and he sees the dad and thinks that is his dad and says 21 years ago you were 13 and fathered a child with my 30something yo mother...I am that child, they explain he died and he has stayed.

I loved the first series but I really don't like the second one :( I feel disappointed. I think Andy samberg made it really. I see the new guy and just think twilight. .... and sparkly vampires :)

I do think that Twilight guy is awful too but I love the family, the dad makes me howl.

DH and I reckon Cuckoo will turn up later. His body was never found.

Jacob werewolf is a bit annoying, but deliberately so I think. His credulousness sets off the family's cynicism nicely. The exchanges between Greg Davies and the son make me laugh, especially the exchange about his parents buying him a car for uni. I hate the new Hannah though, she's all wrong for it.

The dad is brilliant :) I loved him in the inbetweeners too as the teacher.

Also the sexytimes bath gone awry. DH and I were howling with laughter.

Yes dust 'thats my son, I love him and he loves me!' As he got out the car!
Good point about the, not fimding him, I read somewhere that he is currently filming a series in the Us so couldn't commit to filming here so its possible he could turn up

i loved series one - I actually think Taylor L is great ' very' Cuckoo - but I can't get on with the new Rachel. the other girl was beautiful, had a spark.. looked like Helen Baxendale too - the new actress.. nah

It's not until I read this thread that I realised Cuckoo was Andy Samberg from Brooklyn 911. How did I miss that

Duh (to myself). Rachel, not Hannah.

The vomfest was a bit Inbetweeners, but we still laughed.

The new daughter and the new cuckoo (cuckoo's son) aren't very good in my opinion. I've watched both so far and I'm not enjoying it. To be honest I'm finding the daughter worse than the twilight guy.

I agree.

I am not watching as andy samberg is not in it anymore.

I think it's still worth a watch given Helen Baxendale and the tall one. Except he was hardly in the last episode. I think the new daughter is quite good and I like the dullard boyfriend.

But yes Twilight boy is no Cuckoo. His cackly laugh really irritates me.

I think its meant to, Clara.

I couldn't get into the last series, but the ds's wanted to watch this one after seeing Jacob Twilight was in it (they both claim to hate Twilight as well Grin). When the picture of Cuckoo was shown they both shouted,'That's Andy Samberg!'
I was Confused. I have no idea who he is. The ds's were impressed though. ds1 has some very rude songs downloaded onto his iphone, which apparently are the work of Andy Samberg.
Anyway I'm enjoying this series and I think Jacob is great in it.

Now, I didnt expect to take to the new Cuckoo but hes growing on me, it was a difficult role to fill after the original but I think hes doing OK, he does have an innocence about him and plays that well.

I agree that the new daughter isnt very good, but love Helen B, Greg D and the son, oo and the best friends.

I agree thought I may not take to him or anyone new tbh but I really like it.

I didn't see the last series so have nothing really to compare it to, but I think that the daughter in this series is as good as any other character in the show. Not keen on her drippy boyfriend though.

I think that I'll go back and watch the first series after this one now I know that Andy Samberg is some kind of comedy God!

I think this series is really missing the original rachel, tamla. She was so so good. The new rachel isn't pretty or funny enough to make the relationship with cuckoo son believe able?

The old Rachel had a slight hippy vibe which made the relationship with the old Cuckoo more likely/probable. The new one is too prim and straight. Let's put it this way, old Rachel would never have settled for Mr Boring like the new one.

I really miss Tamla Kari too.

BreconBeBuggered · 20/08/2014 23:12

What happened to the old Rachel?
Twilight kid is lost on me, too. Greg Davies and Helen Baxendale make it still worth watching, but only on points. If this was the first series, I probably wouldn't stick with it.
