I think he knew what to do because the game concerned looked like a retro console - he chose Donkey Kong because it was a game he knew. There was a comment about it.

Signing in, I loved Les revenants and quite like this so far

Also wondering about how long ago the returned dad died. I think it must have been fairly recent as he knew his adult kids and didn't seem surprised at their appearance. In fact he seems really chilled about the whole thing I wonder if he is a bit like our old pal Serge from Les revs - there was a body there when he was digging, wasn't there, and he wasn't surprised to see it

There also seems to be no equivalent to the dam / flooded village element of Les revs.

I think one thing I am struggling with a bit is the setting. In Les revs (I keep referring back to it even though I know this is a separate show, must keep a lid on that!) the village seemed really isolated and cut-off, almost otherworldly, which made the whole scenario sort of plausible. The American setting seems quite an ordinary town, and we have an outsider viewpoint in the Omar Epps character and his colleague, that woman he speaks to on the phone. I sort of feel that that whole small town would be swarming with media by now and the internet would be exploding!

But I do like it all the same
