My dh was howling with laughter at the Grant Mitchellesque guy. The one who got married at 17, looked like she was now going out with a relation of Jimmy Saville. Was sad - especially the CJD guy.

I thought it was a lovely programme. Had a tear in the eye about the CJD guy, but loved the bloke (with the DS daughter) who said he didn't think he'd been in love when he got married but he definitely was now. And he was so positive about their baby girl when she was diagnosed and his wife was rejecting her. Oh, he was great.

Such a simple programme, but really touching.

Yes the bit about the 81 yr old not marrying again was hilarious.

Apparently Honey & Billy are going to be having a baby girl with Downs.

I only saw the last 15 mins but thought it was excellent - v sad about the CJD guy, they had obviously been so happy together. And love that the older couple had 19 years together, good on them.

Lovely programme - very touching and thought provoking
"Where will we all be in twenty years time?"

Is anyone watching the Seduction one on thursday - looks a bit like Would Like To Meet... ?

I loved it too, I too cried.

I thought it was a very good programme too. I'd be happy to see more documentaries about normal people, proving that we don't have to be titillated by the promise of observing freaks and sex-related stuff for good viewing.

thought it was so well done - marriages spoke for themselves rather than some annoying voiceover and like dthe fact that it was all those pictured on one day so self-selected not picked out for freakiness by some cynical ratings-chasing editor!
felt so sorRY esp for woman who'd delayed having kids (till ripe old age of 27!) only to get pregnant and after an ectopic, require a hysterectomy, so ...

ocd - dh and I were both howling (well, lumps in throat and tears in eyes anyway). We are so soft since having kids .

Oh God ocd-I watched it and am still v hormonal (just had ectopic) The hysterectomy woman did for me. I was absolutely sobbing for about an hour.
And then the CJD man. She was so calm and lovely and accepting of her lot. It humbled me and saddened me beyond belief.
It was fantastic television!
