when Tamehra will get the chance to forget the lyrics to not ONE but TWO songs.

So- this week the contestants got to choice a song of their own (by one of their 'misical heroes') and one was voted for by the Great British Public. I'm not sure how we can tell that the GBP did vote for the chosen song, or whether the producers did, but here anyway is the list

X Factor 2013 songlist – Week 8

Luke Friend

Own choice – I Will Wait
The people’s choice – Skinny Love

Nicholas McDonald

Own choice – Greatest Day
The people’s choice – Just The Way You Are

Rough Copy

Own choice – Every Little Step / She’s Got That Vibe
The people’s choice – I Believe I Can Fly

Sam Bailey

Own choice – How Will I Know?
The people’s choice – Clown

Tamera Foster

Own choice– We Found Love
The people’s choice – The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

I am very Sad that we didn't get to see Screwloose singing 'The living years'.

Well, in case I am talking to myself tonight, Grin, I have wine.

I really hope Meh goes home this weekend.

I hope you're not trying to suggest that any x factor voting is rigged Grin or that they have nipple clamps on the judges to make them keep Meh in week after amnesiac week.

I think they need an Erasure and B52s week - tired of Loose Screw's warbling and the Krankie boy singing grandad songs.

I want Meh to go home too, she won't though!

I hope she mixes up the songs she is singing and we get a unintentional mash-up!

I do think they should be made to sing stuff out of their comfort zone.

I read that Pinhead, aka James Arthur is performing this week. And Rebecccca 'I've got 3 guinea pigs and come from Essex' Ferguson. I was beginning to think they had been overlookedGrin

(although Pinhead has been increasingly unstable of late, they may not really want him to perform. He will probably not be 'live' live. Like Celine .

Actually- they should get Wee Jimmy to do 'Grandad' by Clive Dunne, Whilst wearing a Perry Como jumper and rocking in a rocking chair.

That would be funny.

Grin

Will Wee Jimmy be wearing a kilt? And why is there no St Andrew's day emoticon? Has there been a ranty thread discussing the omission?

Iam - am unintentional mash-up would be great- except they would say how very professional she was for doing it etc etc- whereas anyone else would be slated. Grin

What you mean like a little Val Doonican, Raahh? (I know he's Irish not Scottish, but still)

He should do Grandad then Donald Where's Yer Troosers. In a kilt and Bonnie Prince Charlie shirt. Louis could come in halfway through and do us an Irish jig.

Isn't Rebecca ferguson a scouser?

Tomorrow night for St. Andrew's day kilts. Even if the wee barra isn't sporting one, the duffers will have pleather kilts.

I'm here. The cashier in Asda ID'd me buying half price champagne earlier, accompanied by DS1 (13). I actually laughed. I'm not going to be drinking the champagne tonight though. I'll be scavenging what I can from the bottle of wine that DH (who apparently doesn't like wine) decided he liked last night. Usually a bottle of wine lasts me all week, and I use it for cooking too. Not if he's going to start drinking it too!

Davros- she is- but it was a standing joke, that they mentioned her being from Liverpool, and had 2 kids, every sentence. So we insisted she must be from somewhere else. Grin

I was going to say that I though Rebecca ferguson was a scouser too.

Was she too dull/nice to nickname? I can't remember any nickname for her.

Ah. I see. Running jokes are great, especially years later. Grin

I don't believe the songs were voted for either.

RF was too nice to nickname properly, really. I wanted her to win.

I missed Matt the lights near us last night, as I was absolutely exhausted and in bed at 6pmShock.

And it was raining.

She just had an unusual voice, and didn't sing bloody Whitney every week. But I think she lost out because they were desperate for a group to win, but Cardle's fans spoiled the party, and the Wandies ended up 3rd. She didn't have enough personality, RF, but i do think she has talent. That said, if she is singing her last single, it is utterly dire. Grin
