Crap soaps are so much fun MN style so does anyone watch Waterloo road and want to play 'where are they from?' 'How unrealistic' and 'who is head this week?'

I love it!

I'm sure it's got worse; more obvious and clichéd as each episode goes on. I'm still watching though... it's my guilty pleasure.

I watched some ok all of the old ones on lovefilm, was interesting how many educational 'trends' actually showed up to be replaced the next week like in Gove world

I didn't like Christine initially but there's a bit more to her now. Angus Deayton could be interesting (guess we've all realised he's a con?)

Yeah the school will get the money they need to change the curriculum so they can learn Mandarin, and he won't be able to actually speak it. Although his wife can teach him, surely?

Imogen and Connor are awful.

Who is that woman doing the mandarin she seems to show up in a lot of things

AlphaBetaOoda · 13/09/2013 07:50

Yes at least they'll leave this time.

The NQT dress last night was awful too

The mandarin woman was in Corrie and ran off with Graeme (breaking Tina's heart).

She was also in that thing about the lottery winners wasn't she? As a Thai transvestite. Bet she would love a part where she's a strong feisty proper woman - all she's played are clichéd far eastern women so far...

But yes Waterloo Road really is the biggest load of rubbish going - I watch it for the comedy value now. Those kids are in the 6th form I assume and all doing languages (including Mandarin?!) and Science........really?!

What's meant to be happening with Grantly - anyone know? Now he can't have Tom's kidney......

Mumof3xx · 13/09/2013 09:38

Grantlys dead isn't he?

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious · 13/09/2013 09:43

Grantly is just alive. He is shown lying around the staff room a lot.

Yes it seems Mandarin and science and a bit of English are the lessons they have. PE too but only a few people

Me and DD love Waterloo Rd, it reminds me of a modern day Grange Hill.

Did Tom not die so Grantley would have got the kidney. I thought this was a bit tame compared to Educating Yorkshire which followed on on Channel 4.

Did Tom die? Shock I have watched WR on and off for years. Used to love it. It is total tat now.

What happened to the one who had all the money and opened the school in Scotland? Have you noticed the odd surnames all the characters have, like Salt and Chalk? And just how old is the actor who plays Barry Barry?

Mumof3xx · 13/09/2013 19:24

Tom fell off a roof

Think her with the money didnt have much money left? I dunno

You know what, behaviour might be awful, teachers might be dying left right and centre, they may have appointed the school's arsonist as the head teacher, but never, not once, have any of those children sworn Grin

I was a bit bemused as to why they're suddenly reduced to Havelock's ancient cast-off text books. Surely rich lady kitted them out with full sets of textbooks brand new last year? I can't believe she's taken them with her.

Report
KatoPotato · 14/09/2013 00:17

But remember rich Lorraine played a completely different character about four seasons ago? She was an ex pupil compulsive liar who took all the pupils to a fake house?

Here's a link to a vine I made about poor Tom...
