What would happen if the lights went out!?!

Looking forward to watching this, it has had good reviews. Good night on TV tonight with Under the Dome afterwards--makes up for all the rubbish on Saturday night-- Anyone else giving it a go?

Ooh, VERY strong language? I wonder what counts?

It's very realistic, I think.

BornToFolk Mon 09-Sep-13 21:54:04

Me too LittleNoona! I'm really freaking myself out.

BOF Mon 09-Sep-13 21:54:12

Especially SurvivalistsWife grin

DP has lit a candle, and I keep nervously looking at the battery life on my iPad.

Bowlersarm Mon 09-Sep-13 21:55:10

I'm into it. I am always going to have a full tank of petrol and my mobile will always be fully charged. Oh and cupboards full of non perishable food and lots of water.

UnknownGnome Mon 09-Sep-13 21:55:24

Aaron someone who suffers with anxiety I don't think i should be watching this...confused

Anyone remember the Eastern seaboard black outs a couple of years after 9/11? NYC in a panic at first thinking terrorists?

They're using riot footage from a few years back. Not as if we need a black out to have a 'good old riot' in the UK!

huddyblell Mon 09-Sep-13 21:56:16

I know little noona - am cacking my pants - think I need to add lots of cash to my OFRS (I never have money on me, always use my card) and will make sure I am never further than walking distance away from my kiddies!

UnknownGnome Mon 09-Sep-13 22:00:33

Aaron? As someone! Doh!

BOF Mon 09-Sep-13 22:01:30

Is this just a one-off drama?

huddyblell Mon 09-Sep-13 22:06:20

Full tank of petrol a v good idea. Will top up each week to keep it full, rather run down to almost empty

I like it. I'd be screwed as my phone battery is useless. Were there people stuck on the London Eye at the start? That thought freaks me out.

BOF Mon 09-Sep-13 22:07:43

Poor SurvivalistBloke is too scared to put his generator on though sad

Bowlersarm Mon 09-Sep-13 22:08:00

Wouldn't fancy being in a lift. You wouldn't be able to get out, would you?

bluecheque4595 Mon 09-Sep-13 22:08:58

I think the middle class family with the generator needed to get their kids on-message. "Dont talk about the generator in front of strangers." They needed to have that talk.

hogwartsismyhome Mon 09-Sep-13 22:09:11

Is ankle tag man more sinister than he makes out?!

LittleNoona Mon 09-Sep-13 22:09:18

Crikey!

I think I'm going to start a survival kit after watching this

AlwaysOneMissing Mon 09-Sep-13 22:09:50

I'm really enjoying this! It's making me very nervous though. What is this man with a tag going to do??!

LittleRobots Mon 09-Sep-13 22:10:56

I ought to turn this off so I don't get nightmares... but I'm hooked. And scared.

Bowlersarm Mon 09-Sep-13 22:11:11

I think ankle tag man is ok. I fear for generator family!

RoonilWazlibWuvsHermyown Mon 09-Sep-13 22:11:18

I'm an hour behind you all but OMG the thought of this happening makes me feel sick shock

LittleRobots Mon 09-Sep-13 22:11:49

I think the sale of survival realted bits and bobs might go up...

RoonilWazlibWuvsHermyown Mon 09-Sep-13 22:11:53

Oh, can I be annoying and ask, how much of it is real footage and how much is Blair witch fake?

Abra1d Mon 09-Sep-13 22:12:02

At least the petrol-thieving yobs have relieved the national gene pool of their future contribution and blown themselves up.

Hope the London Eye people have been got down.

LittleRobots Mon 09-Sep-13 22:14:19

They've used past news footage apparently (london riots, I remember there being a news event over rubbish building up at some point, the water etc) and merged it. I also found the bit about 2 people escaping a lift was found from You Tube of two soldiers!
