Anyone else just see that awful car crash?

That actually shocked me a little bit. Christ that was horrible. Presumeably the poor woman is dead.

It was way too much, same as when he killed Alex. My Nan has always watched Emmerdale and I'm certain she would have been upset by that tonight.

I felt quite shocked watching him kill poor genie!!

Watching that was the first time I've sat with my hand over my mouth while watching a soap. It was brilliantly acted, but a bit much for early evening tv.

Emmerdale has gone way too far... that should not have been shown before 9pm!

I've just complained to Ofcom about it as I was that horrified!

They did put out a warning before it came on... I can see your point if you have little children still up and watching it but I thought it was brilliantly done. My Nan, 94, rang me up and said she was shocked as she had no idea Genie was going to die but she also said it was very good watching and she had to go up the hall (in sheltered flats) to talk about it with all her friends!
That Debbie is a tw*t of a character.
But - its got me talking about it all which never happens so they won't care if anybody complains, its publicity.
Doesn't she have that recording in her purse?

Ok now my opinion is that Emmerdale have been hinting at this storyline for ages, if small children or people that are upset by sensitive storylines, then don't watch them. Emmerdale is repeated quite a lot including weekends so you can watch at other times. Emmerdale is the only soap I watch regularly and I have enjoyed the suspense of " who's next on his list" . Cain is leaving soon apparently , will he be next....

I never watch any of them until they advertise that something is actually going to happen.

Bloody Eastenders should be put out of it's misery. Nobody cares about you, you miserable sods! Stop being on four nights a week and let's have something interesting to watch.

Eastenders is dire, I can't remember when I last watched.

I dont even know why i watch eastenders anymore but its habit i think!
Emmerdale went over the line, but we shouldnt really watch any soaps in front of DCs (not really)
i usually do but thankfully she was asleep as i had a few to catch up on. dont think i will watch them in front of her anymore

Not a totally regular Emmerdale watcher. Agree with the above - it was harrowing. My older kids (late teens) think this is a really silly storyline as all Cameron had to do was deny he confessed (to Alex) and with Debbie say he said it to win her back /stress - false guilt etc. lots of people make false confessions to murder for all sorts of reasons.
