Last weeks break proper pissed me off, but is anyone else nervous about this weeks episode? Edmure's wedding is so huge in the books, and the penultimate episode has always been the big one, I know I will cry.

YES, I am so nervous about it, especially with the break as I had been building myself up to it.
My DP has not read the books so he hasn't got a clue about what's going to happen. I cant wait to see his reaction. Dreading it a bit at the same time.
I was just Shock for ages after reading it, such an intense chapter - especially with Arya's before and after. It really had a huge impact on me, my heart was pounding.
I am going to cry too.

I know. Its probably one of the biggest things that happens, and I had to reread to make sure I hadn't imagined it.

Ah yes it was just so huge - really emotional and just RAHHHH.
Cats last thoughts really had a big impact on me - no not my hair, Ned loves my hair [ sad] and poor Arya, just when she thought she would see her family again.

I know, its just so sad. Its so close, and so many little things contribute to it.

It's looking to be a really busy episode. I think Jon will head back to the Wall. Bran and co might meet cold hands.
Do you think they will show un cat this series ?

Report
lissieloo · 31/05/2013 21:28

I thhink they will save coldhands for the finale, tbh. or maybe next season.

UnCat would be a very good ending to the series, maybe a post-credit "shocker", tbh, Ive never really liked Cat and UnCat gives me the heebies.

Yes un cat is pretty darn freaky, I get the feeling she would hang anyone that looked at her the wrong way.
A post credit shocker would be brilliant, I was hoping we would end with the purple wedding, but it doesn't look likely.

I like the penultimate episode being the big one, that way loose ends can be tidied in the final.

and yy to UnCat hanging anyone, she loses all trace of humanity, doesn't she?

Yes, she really does. I wonder if it was seeing Robb killed and being brutally killed her self that did it or if she was dead for too long before they brought her back - either way I wouldn't like to meet her in the woods.

Oh no that's a shame, GOT is one of the programmes we both enjoy.
Has anyone seen ASOIAF beer for sale in the UK ?
I know it is on sale in the US but haven't seen it here, would love to try some.

Yep it's in all the shops, on amazon, everywhere really.

Is this the red wedding?

PollyPlummer · 01/06/2013 19:43

Yes Rhonda it is. Thanks will see if I can get some in. I obviously have been looking with my eyes closed Wink

Thanks polly.

Here's the amazon page if it's any help

www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_7?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=game%20of%20thrones&sprefix=Game%20pf%2Caps%2C556&rh=n%3A266239%2Ck%3Agame%20of%20thrones&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

I haven't read them yet - I keep seeing them everywhere and I am tempted but I know it will put me off the tv series where it differs.

Thanks for the link Rhonda. Am I being really daft - I can only see the books on there, I was looking for beer.
I have read the books, they haven't put me off the series yet, but I only got in to them after the second series. I do have had to stop myself from blurting out - that's not how they did it in the books. And in a way I feel a bit gutted that there will be no Shock moments.

Bloody hell polly ignore me! I totally misread your post sorry I am a complete muppet Blush

I'm blaming it on the painkillers for my torn muscle.

PollyPlummer · 01/06/2013 22:02

That sounds painful, ah yes Iron Throne pale ale sounds familiar.

it's good, don't look at the dailymail though online today as there are spoilers.

I've just watched it... It's perfect in a horrifying sort of way. That feeling of shock an 'this can't be happening' I felt when reading it in the books was replicated, even though I knew what was coming.

Think I'm going to have to check out the US fb page and see what it is they're outraged about!

Killing Starks Frettchen

I am going to cry, I know it.

Does Roose say Jaime Lannister sends his regards when he kills Robb ?

Do we see Robbwind ?
