Am looking forward to this, 2 great actresses in it Brenda Blethyn and Hilary Swank. Probably be a bit sad but still sounds interesting.

I missed the first ten minutes. How did they end up going to Africa? I've been twice with ds and would never take him to a malaria area.

I took the dog out so missed a few minutes. Swank and son went because son was being bullied so she thought he'd enjoy an adventure. Blethyn's son went to work there. Both have died of malaria.

So was Brenda Blethyn's son the teacher that Hilary Swank's son played football with?

I do, he's 8. He was 2 and 5 when we went to Africa and I made sure we didn't go anywhere that had malaria (which ruled out Kruger national park in SA). I was so careful and worried about him getting bitten.

Do you know I didn't know there were areas that didn't have it?

That she isn't a politician and if she goes to the hearing she won't be able to say anything or make a difference.

I'd love to take ds to Etosha national park in Namibia but can't until he is old enough to take malaria tablets. Still have to be careful in areas that are considered low risk.

He knows how to tug the heartstrings that Richard Curtis. That was tough to watch but important and lovely.
