I don't find him amusing in the slightest. I cannot stomache the sight of him. He gets paid lots of money for being a complete moron.

Glad it's not just me. I don't understand how he is as popular as he is. Plenty of people must like him for him to be on telly. He is revolting

Honestly? I don't find him remotely funny. I would switch the tv off rather than watch him. BUT he won a shed load of money on Million Pound Drop for the charity that supports the ward where DS is treated and for that, I quite love Leigh Francis.

I hate, hate, hate him

I thought he was funny in an ironic way at first (for about 5 minutes). He wasn't quite so sexist and obnoxious at first, he just acted more like a complete buffoon (which he clearly is not)

However, the sexism and disrespectful language about women has escalated...presumably in direct connection to what his audience wants. Which is shit.

Jimmy Savile raised loads of money for charity too and look what kind of bastard he turned out to be.

I hate Keith Lemon / LeighFrancis or whatever he likes to call himself. That advert where he opens his door to carol singers with his dressing gown open, supposedly baring all to see is supposed to be funny. it isn't.

yes he is a ghastly talentless creep. I only watched his show once, a long time ago, and in it he sexually offended Holly W and Fearne C and made vulgar remarks about their breasts. To which they both simply giggled and waved their peroxide tresses about a lot. I still cannot grasp how that is good tv or acceptable behaviour .

Makes my skin crawl. I get so angry when he is on tv, that I switch channel or switch off. I refuse to watch him.

About as funny as noro virus.

I can't fathom the show where he insults his female guests and they laugh heartily along. The misogyny in his "act" is palpable.

So glad I found this thread - I can't stand him and don't think he is remotely funny.

I used to think he was mildly amusing a few years ago now not so much.
That said I don't think anyone would pay good money to see me crack a few wrong 'uns so fair play to him ...someone must like his humour

I should add a caveat .. I haven't lived in the UK for three years so TBH I think irrc I saw about 10 mins of him about a year ago when I was back for a visit.

I can't stand him and I think he goes so far over the line when talking to or about women on the show. Also hate how loads of young lads say 'I'd smash her back doors in' nowadays as well. My teenage nephew and his pals all say it when they see a good looking girl and it knocks me sick. Absolutely hate that expression!

Sign me up!

I find the character revolting. Not at all funny and from what I can see, people laugh at not with him. And much of the laughter is fake and / or from embarrassment.

He makes me cringe and I just turn over. I honestly don't understand what is funny about him. He's creepy as hell.

OMG smashing her back doors in? Disgraceful! Is this what we are teaching the next generation? How to be totally disrespectful towards women? Why Holly W and Fearne C would find working with Keith Lemon funny is beyond me. Shameful. I think they're more interested in their bank balance than his so called humour. Why else would they 'work' with him? I don't get why anyone would laugh at him or with him. He is not funny. He is a disgrace!

He is a character in the same way as Sacha Baron total utter prick Cohen is.

I do actually find him funny but then I love the Invbetweeners too

"Comedy" like "The Office" and infact anything by Ricky Gervaise leaves me utterly cold.

Different strokes for different folks

He is just an annoying character so he doesn't bother me, It's all an act and he's supposed to be vile isn't he?

I suspect Leigh Francis is probably a nice bloke.

Thats what we have been "teaching the next generation" for years. Being a mysogynist and talking down to women or being crude about them is funny. It is entertainment. If you don't like it don't watch it! The women on his shows think it's funny so it's all good.

Report
AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 01/12/2012 14:37

It's not "all good" though when our younger generation are being influenced by this. Yes, I can switch it off but my teenagers think he is great Angry
