I've got the series +d and not yet watched it. I'm at the point if pressing the delete button, but might hold off if anyone has anything positive to say. Anyone?

I thought it was rather good, actually. I don't watch a lot of TV, but I looked forward to this each week. Rather compressed, time-wise: 30 years of feud, and the passage of time is not always clearly indicated. But other than this, quite an impressive historical drama. And interesting from the point of view of how recent this all was in US history.

Watched it all last night, didn't realise it was quite a short series. I nearly had a massive tantrum as the 'penultimate' episode cut off before the end, and I had no idea if Johnse had lived or not when he went fishing with his dad. Sussed out that he did walk away, but what a clincher to miss! Was really good, I forgot how good an actor Costner was. Fascinating story, and given how long the feud went on, and how many of them were killed/murdered, I was surprised that it did go on so long. Glad I watched it!

I enjoyed it! We also had the problem with the cut off of the penultimate episode...what a place to suddenly stop!

I think it was made by the History Channel and so has to be as accurate as possible.
