Adopt a Grandad on Channel 4 tonight.

Anyone see it? I think I would have thrown him out when he told the two year old to stick the chip in her "gob" and "shut-up". TBH I thought he was rather abnoxious, although at other times quite sweet.

agree, just total lack of expeirence with young kids(even though he was a teacher) but not having an actual family i felt sorry for him! An also not to have ever seen his wifes naked body(a sexless marriage) i also felt sorry for him!

Thought for a teacher, it was odd the way he spoke to the children, although I gathered he must have been in his 80's so was teaching in a different era.

Sad about his wife, although it was lovely the way he talked about her, that he valued her other qualities more.

think i'll try that with dp, i cook and clean and now he ain't gonna see my body no more, i'll say its more of a partnership thing we have going, id love to see his faceGrin

LOL! I was rather disappointed my DH didn't see the programme and he would see that I wasn't that bad after all.

Thought is was sad that the granddad didn't want to keep in touch with the family at the end. Although I do wonder what would have happened in later years if he became unwell and required care etc.
