In some interviews, they said that S3 would answer some of the loose threads from S1, so I was slightly hoping for the reappearance of a certain politician but according to his imdb entry it is not to be

Nevertheless, I guess I'll give it a go

The first two eps of series 3 have been screened in Copenhagen and they are looking gooooood according to The Guardian
