Andy the new "guy"

is that right?

He looks very much womanly in many ways.
I can't work him out?

I asked DH but he ignored me as he is still trying to watch it. He missed if they got planning permission now! Grin

I didn't pay any attention to it. I was disappointed as I thought it was Wednesday so I thought I would be watching Apprentice tonight. Not only that, it means 3 more days until the weekend and not 2!

Dh agrees that Andy looks very womanly or like a butch woman. I didn't see so I don't know. Grin

Nbg, this has been bugging me too. Think Andy is a straight up guy but just very softly spoken and a bit ambiguous looking. Wander if a web search for the farm would turn up any chat?!

Will have a look me thinks.

Not that it does bother me as such. Lovely person.

Have done quick search and can't find anything - like you I think he seems a nice guy but did wander.

Nbg · 14/03/2006 22:35

Nope, can't find anything either.

He's also quite tall if he was a woman!

Also just while we're on the subject do you think Dolly is a bit odd?

Exactly what I thought, dp assures me 'she' is a he!
Compulsive viewing.
Jimmys dp could be a model!!

jimmy's dp is a fantastic looking woman.

yeah. the new guy andy. can't quite work him out. I think he's just a little freaky. I don't think he's a woman.

Jimmy and his lady are fab. I think they make a great couple.
I felt so sorry for them last night.

Dolly makes me laugh!

i've sky+'ed it so it's sitting on my backlog of shows I haven't watched yet.

i saw the preview and saw that there was some sort of major set-back.

Everyday seems to be a major setback for Jimmy..
Just wait until he starts to diversify!!

it just shows how bloody hard it is to be a farmer these days.

he's struggling even despite huge business from the whole 'jamie oliver' association and the television coverage.

any joe schmo would not have been able to do this.

I went and bought some sausages from his shop. Really nice stuff in it but quite pricey - but you get what you pay for I guess!

bea, the council kiboshed his expansion plans - some rubbish about it needing to be based in the town centre, car parking etc.

if the council had such problems with a car park, i don't understand why he just doesn't put down that plastic meshing that saves the grass.

saying that, that's a hell of a lot of plastic meshing. probably cost him a fortune.

There must be another way round it surely.

What the council suggested was totally ridiculous.

Actaully I think he should be siting his shop in a town/village centre as that way the environmently impact of transportation is reduced as rather than all those people getting into seperate cars and traipsing all the way out to the shop they can get what they want while they are already in town as most people go into town anyway and that way its only one lorry bringing the goods in.
Also planning regulations on the use and change of use of land are VERY strict and the council cant just change these will ye nill ye cos people want to set up a shop. Also there were a large number of complaints from the neighbours about the plans and the council are obliged to take these into consideration too.
I dont think he thoguth through the plans fully and I was honestly not surprised at all when permission was refused.
