Prisoners of War

Is anyone else watching Prisoners of War - the Israeli series which inspired Homeland but is in fact nothing like it? It's really, really good - subititled so hard to know what the acting's like but it seems excellent. Surely someone else out there is watching it?

Yes I thought it was brilliant - even better than Homeland as it seemed more real somehow. The actors looked like real people, unlike in Homeland where it is difficult to believe Brodie's gorgeous youthful wife could be the mother of a teenage girl. Typical of American TV.

I was suprised at the ending - didn't think it was going to go that way. I hope there will be another series to find out what's become of Amiel.

Yes I've been watching it and really enjoyed it. Thought the acting was great and it seemed a much more realistic portrayal of how it would be to return after all those years in captivity than Homeland but I guess not as exciting as Homeland. Now just got to hope I don't miss series 2 coming on (assuming there is one!)

Well hello - glad to know I'm not the only person watching! There will be a real gap in our tv watching schedule now it's finished, it's definitely been one of the best things on tv recently and can't believe it didn't get more hype. Ever since the Danish thriller series with sub titles I thought reviewers were less scared of recommending subtitled programmes...
Anyway great ending, so many questions still hanging though. I gather there isn't yet a definite 2nd series, will be such a shame if they don't make one.

Am sure read somewhere there was a second series its brill loved every minute of it totaly gripped from the first esp
