I think because the others think Pete is perceived to be witty and not a bully they don't stand up to him. Which is pathetic. I think the whole episode was horrible car-crash TV. Beaming the diary room nominations out to all the other housemates was just designed to stir things up, which Channel 4 must have wanted because most of them have been apparently getting on ok for the past couple of days. It's a shame George and Preston had to take it all so seriously and didn't just saying things like, "I nominate X because I think he wants to leave". They're all being drawn in to a horrible Lord of the Flies scenario and it's getting a bit grisly. Poor, poor Traci.
