What is the kids programme with coloured bears called?!

Hi all, please help me find out the name of an oldish childrens programme featuring coloured teddy bears? One of them was wearing glasses?!

Couldnt remember if it was bbc? Think it is pre-teletubbies.

Oh yes - they all had names like Andrew, Sarah etc. We had a book about them at the school I worked at, didn't know they were on telly though.
