Greatly enjoying this prog -3 so far. Not learning much about cooking but he's very keen.

I'm sooo jealous, We live in Italy and are big fans of Jamie and we can't see it. Is it good, where has he been? Tell me more.....

It's repeated on Sunday afternoons on More 4 if you have digital.

He's a really creative bloke! That idea of making food on the roadside and then asking for donations were very imaginative.

In Marche

Where in Tuscany did you live?

Last night, it was in Marche (sp) next to Tuscany - the other programmes have been in the south near Sicily and the surrounding islands.

Was good - but then I am a JO fan. He killed a sheep - wasn't happy about and did look a bit green - but he made the point that he has cooked thousands of pieces of lamb - so he should make the effort IYSWIM.

Wednesday night TV rocks - this straight after River Cottage!

I wonder where in le marche he was, must have been the mountains if he was killing sheep.

am loving jamie, who i never really enjoyed watching before. but river cottage is an utter con - its the second series of rehashed 'best of' why could he not do something new?

I am more and more impressed with JO- he repeatedly demonstrates the courage of his convictions and put's himself in uncomfortable situations to demonstrate a belief. With his last 3 programmes - 15 - School Dinners and now this one he has gone out on a limb. Admittedly this series is more about cooking but there are very few 'celebrity chefs' who will happily go out of their comfort zone on camera to try to learn new stuff. He rocks!

I am loving it too. This programme really seems to capture something about Italy that other programmes don't.

I've just heard somewhere in the series he is going to go to an Italian School to see what they have for their dinners. If its anything like my childrens school, all organic, fresh, local. Her menu today was, soup to tuna and veg, then pasta (unspecific) and fruit for finish. Yes a three course meal even in school. We pay 4e 50cents for this meal. What value.

Watched it last night, fantastic!

Did turn it off at the sheep execution though and yes they were in the mountains in La Marache.

I think it's next week they go to the school.
