1/4

If your mind wanders at any point during this long, low-octane medical drama (as it's likely to), you can amuse yourself by counting clichés. Luckily, the script is in the hands of a charismatic cast, including Richard Armitage and Zoe Telford, and the idea of following a helicopter emergency team is brilliant. In this first episode the team are called in when a bus runs over a boy and smashes into a car. A series of repetitive flashbacks reveals more to the scenario than meets the eye.

I was babysitting last week at a house with no sky, no freeview etc. Nothing normally on on a weds evening, so brought a book.

ITV happened to be on. I began watching this.

Am I the only one who is really loving it so far?

OK - am a self confessed ER, Holby, Casualty, Trauma addict (blimey, never realised how sad that sounded until now!) but this new series is very exciting stuff. And it has that nice chap in it that used to be in "Teachers"

Or do I need to get out more.

Perhaps, but until I can - horrah for weds nights suddenly having something worthwhile to view
