Teenagers

Does anyone have any suggestions for post-Alevel hols?

My 18 y/o dd and her 3 best friends are wanting to go away somewhere together to celebrate the end of their a-levels this summer.

Can anyone recommend somewhere safe and appealing to teenage girls (if that is not a contradiction in terms!)? Dd and one of the girls are quite sensible (like a drink, but not getting inebriated, like to get home at a reasonable hour, do not like getting chatted up, etc). The other two are darlings, but a lot keener on 'partying' so there is a lot of arguing going on about where they should go!

If anyone else's dc have had a good package holiday with friends, and returned home in one piece, could you tell me where they went?

And of course dd is PFB so I am a bit stressed at the whole idea (even though she is an adult now!)

No useful advice, but will watch this thread with interest. DS1 took GCSEs last summer then had a loooong break but couldnt find anywhere to go away (such as camping - they are only 16) that would accept 4 boys - but they could have gone away with girls in a mixed group

NDD1 and 2 didn't have a post A level holiday. Dd1 wnt to a party held at one of her friends houses and DD2 went withfriends to an Post A level party held at one of the night clubs in town. None of their friends had enough money to spend on a holiday. Most were saving to go to uni.

Yes, DH and I have pointed out that we had school parties and then went out and got summer jobs! None of this holidays abroad business!

She was getting very fed up and the four of them were looking like giving up on the idea when last night - much to dh's and my disappointment - they came up with a self-catering package in Malaga for under #250. Looks ok from tripadvisor reviews and looks like a family resort, rather than one of those awful places full of drunken, semi-clad British girls vomitting in the street (which two of the girls seem to equate with having a good time!)

Now I just have to worry until its all over...

I thought it was the law that you had to go interailing through europe when you finished your A levels.

DD and friends were planning to do this last summer, but then they all had different jobs etc so couldn't co-ordinate the time (and were all saving for Uni).

In the end 4 of them took our huge tent to a nice campsite, they had electric hook up so fridge, hair straighteners etc, lots of room (it is a 12 man tent and can stand up in it) and was on a Country park with animals, things to do, and a pub in walkable distance. We drove them there and collected them and it was cheap, fun & safe

She has a job in Europe for the whole of next summer so the group holiday to Ibiza etc will not be happening now

How about Southern Ireland - Ring of Kerry area??

My ds went to Newquay camping after GCSEs no problem,
Dd wants to go to Turkey on AI holiday, we went to LETOONIA IN Antalya as a family and would be happy for dd to go with friends after AS,

DD is going to Hong Kong to stay with a schoolfriend. She has earned half the money for the flights by working for me in my holiday cottages! I am hugely relieved as most of her other friends are heading for Rock in Cornwall...... yuck!
