Does anyone else's teen moan about being bored and left in house alone all day then when you suggest that he phones one of his 10 or 15 friends to do something totally refuses to pick the goddam phone up????

He won't even go rowing for 3 hours tomorrow, getting fresh air and exercise and seeing about 6 of his mates.

(If one of them phones him it's a different matter)

Would rather spend 24/7 in front of the ps3 and moan.

Aaaaaaargh and there's another 6 weeks of this to go!

Sorry just ranting really.

And turning into my mum

yes

ds1 flumps.. moans.. "i'm bored"

why not phone a friend?.. nope.. why not go OUT? " nowhere to go"

what about the cinema or swimming or go shopping? " can't be bothered"

strim the lawn for me then " no answer"

give you a lift to the beach "grunt"

walk the dog " grunt"

clean the car " grunt"

( I can actually take us all out right now as dd is just clear of SF, I'm in the middle of it.. and DS2 is on day 3/4)..

and his holiday job doesn't start just yet .. grrrrr

don't mind the flumping .. but just don't like the "i'm bored" bit

Mine don't even finish school until tomorrow and they're driving me mad anyway. I have sent them upstairs with instructions to tidy their rooms, then smile at each other, then come down with a list of family things they would like to do next week. Otherwise dp and I will INFLICT things on them!
