Never ask a child IF they need the loo... moodlum

Quote of the week

CaptainNancy's (admirably succinct) family rules: "Don't be a dingbat/duffer. Keep calm and carry on. Dream big. Shut up and get on with it."

Recipe of the week

Carmenere's cinder toffee: sweet, sticky, made-in-five-minutes toffee squares that'll spark off a few 'yums' among the 'oohs' and 'aahs' of your little fireworks-watchers.

Hi All, Please help I have a 6 eard old who is a 27" waste and cant find any jeans or school trousers to fit, he is not fat he is just chunky !!
Depends how fashion con your DS is really ... Top Shop has worked for my terribly fash con DS (Skinny Jeans an absolute must) but you could also try TKMaxx if you have one nearby.

My DS has resolved the problem of the too big waist by wearing his jeans very low slung to show of his boxers (yeuck - or am I just getting old blush)

Not sure if he is tall enough yet but I have a very tall skinny DP and the only place he can get them from is Next. It is where he heads straight away as everytime we try to go somewhere different we never find anything!

H & M is good for teenage boys and cheapish. Think they do 28" waist.

I have a six foot 13 year old DS who is also skinny. Primark menswear size 30" waist fit him really well though I suspect they are small size 30s as other brands are too big.
Yep, was going to suggest Gap ! Have a friend with a V skinny boy....6ft 7 and a 28" waist. Gap was the only place where she coulg jeans that fit him ! Although will be more than £20 - but here in NE we have a Gap discount store...very handy!
Ooh - thanks, everyone!

urm guys if you can also find a 24inch waist ( yippee it's gone up).. and a 30/31 inch leg .. I'd be very very greatful

in jeans or black school type trousers .. i'd be very grateful
I bought a pair of jeans for DS 13 a pair of 28 inch waist available in short medium and long for £8 in a shop in Enfield Town , no idea what the shop was called though, I am sure there is another one in Watford.

La Redoute do Mens jeans with waist sizes from 26 inch and leg length in 30,32,34 and 36 inch for £21.

New Look used to be good, but seem to have stopped doing men's clothes altogether now.

DS is 30in waist 35/36 leg... impossible.
My DH had the same trouble as he was 28" waist, 32" leg for years.

Now he is a 30-32" waist it is easier

He too has Primark & Tesco jeans.
I started a thread the very same as this a couple of months ago. Anyway, I can reliably report that Top Man do them (but are dearer), and the winner is Primark! 30 waist, 34 leg and cool enough for the 14-year-old about town.
Try the Gap men's bit. Big sale on at the mo.
Have you tried the mens ranges?

I know Topman do 30L jeans which are 34 inside leg, and some of theirs are around £20.

Like these: www.topman.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=17551&st oreId=12555&categoryId=126965&parent_category_rn=38981&productId=1238521&langId=-1

Also the Burton website says they do 28 or 30 Long. It doesn't say how long "Long" is but I assume it'll be about the same as Topman as they are part of the same group.
Look I found these 'Buy now' on E bay for £12.99. Why didn't I think of that?
That's worth a look then, thanks. I might check out the Levis website, but I expect they'll be a lot more than £20

If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]].
