Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

I challenge you to find me boys' jeans with 28 or 30" waist and 34" inside leg for £20 or less...

...because I can't! Retailers don't seem to realise how many tall skinny teenage boys there are around!

Hi All, Please help I have a 6 eard old who is a 27" waste and cant find any jeans or school trousers to fit, he is not fat he is just chunky !!
Depends how fashion con your DS is really ... Top Shop has worked for my terribly fash con DS (Skinny Jeans an absolute must) but you could also try TKMaxx if you have one nearby.

My DS has resolved the problem of the too big waist by wearing his jeans very low slung to show of his boxers (yeuck - or am I just getting old blush)

Not sure if he is tall enough yet but I have a very tall skinny DP and the only place he can get them from is Next. It is where he heads straight away as everytime we try to go somewhere different we never find anything!

I have a six foot 13 year old DS who is also skinny. Primark menswear size 30" waist fit him really well though I suspect they are small size 30s as other brands are too big.
Yep, was going to suggest Gap ! Have a friend with a V skinny boy....6ft 7 and a 28" waist. Gap was the only place where she coulg jeans that fit him ! Although will be more than £20 - but here in NE we have a Gap discount store...very handy!
Ooh - thanks, everyone!

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
