My PFB is preparing to go to a club with her mates tomorrow, (after a lot of partying here then a meal in town).

I am officially old now, and moving into another generation.......

If you're too old, then I'm too old and I'm sorry but I'm just not having that! Hope your DD has a good time - I remember my 18th like it was yesterday .

(My oldest is the age I was when I had him - 21 - very weird. I feel like I really should have grown up by now).

I still have a 13yr old, but yes, I remember being 18 soo clearly (especially as I was going out with DH then - which is scary).

We are just plugging in the wii which we have borrowed (4 controllers) to practice as they want to play on that for a bit before they go out!

Hi Milliways - I asked the same question when DD turned 18 & was assured I was still a mum! And she's my youngest, while your DS is (counts on fingers)um... Year 9?

DD went back to Exeter yesterday & DS to Warwick last week, so I'm definitely suffering from empty-nest syndrome ... just me & DH, on our own, the house is quiet, no ANTM on TV, no constant phone calls, the bathroom is free...hang on, maybe suffering isn't the right word here....

Hi Rusty! Glad you are enjoying the peace (we are dreading the Uni bills!)

Wow Shoshe, just shows MN is for all of us

If you are to old then so am I. I'm 52 and my youngest was 17 on Saturday.
I think it's about time I had a new name ( although my 21 year old still refers to me as Mummy). Any ideas?

Hi Shoshe! How's the new house?

Milliways - you've just reminded me we haven't paid DD's Hall bill yet - she's supposed to be telling us how much it will be, as she has all the paperwork with her.

She's already sorted out her house for next year - there will be 6 of them, 2 girls & 4 guys, paying £120 a week each - who says buy-to-let isn't profitable?

mumeee - I'm 52 too - 1956 was a good year!
