Help, my son is finding his hormones big time, he has been doing the odd odd thing .... he bought his girlfriend underwear (i said it wasn't a good idea), he has also been very vulgar in his language (which we disapprove strongly of ... so he doesn't do it around me anymore) but today we got a call from a concerned adult that my son was blowing up condoms at the school fete! (lots of people around ... parents, teachers, little kids ... and his gang of friends too that all found it hilarious) I am so angry, upset and don't know what to do ..... HELP (normally a chilled mum but with strong ground rules that clearly aren't working)

Well at least he isn't having sex! If he was he wouldn't have blown up that condom.

I remember putting them over our heads and blowing them up with your nose, think all teenagers do daft stuff like this.

I know it probably won't help but I remember some of the girls used to make little mice out of tampons or dip them in water to blow them up and then leave them around at that age. It's just an age where people do daft things. He shouldn't be buying underwear for his girlfriend though. Hopefully he won't get to see her wearing it and will be disappointed enough to not buy any more underwear for girlfriends until he is at least 63.

This too shall pass.... The things that teen boys do Shock ... My oldest DS (now in his late 20's / v v 'sensible' / even IN THE POLICE and disapproves of everything) threw eggs at a teachers house (he was the only one who got caught out of FIVE other 'kevins' who were similarly stupid inspired), missed his flight home from his first ever 'Inbetweeners' holiday.... Oh my the list (could) go on and on.... He's now soooooo sensible we want HIM to chill a little now and then Grin Not sure if this helps at allllll or horrifies you even more Confused

If I'm really really honest I wouldn't worry yourself too much. I have been with DH since I was 13 and this was pretty much normal behaviour for him and his friends in their teenage years, Putting them over their heads too. He is now over 30 and I assure you has grown out of it.

you title made me laugh, it is so Kevin the Teenager isn't it?

He really needs to learn WHERE he can be a prat so he doesn't get into trouble.
tbh, I think a familiarity with condoms is better than knowing nothing about them!

thats my view too .... blowing up a condom is normal .... doing it at your old school with all those people including the principle teacher .... oh God!!!! whats worse, that he did it, or that he is stupid enough to do it there!! I hope he does learn soon ...
