13 yr DS come home with love bite

This last week I've noticed a huge change in my (just) 13 year old son, he's going out straight from school not coming home for tea and turning up about 8pm. I've been suspicious and have (reluctantly) checked his iPad and have found a girl sending naked pics to him. Anyway tonight he's come home with a tiny love bite on his neck. I'm worried sick and when I question him he just strops and says "stop asking me question you are doing my head in" I'm really worried because I don't want to come down too hard on him, any advice/similar stories would be appreciated.

Thanks :-)

No answers, just wanted to let you know I feel for you. Condom conversation needed!

Thanks Dogwalks I've been saying the same myself but it's so worrying at this age and so different to when I was his age, had no internet...

Do you know the girl's parents and what age she is ? I would be having a word with them too.

You also need to have a talk with him about having underage nude photos on his electronics and the trouble that could bring if he talks about it to anyone or shows the pics or doesn't delete them straightaway - legal consequences of being found in possession of child pornography etc. especially if the girl's parents discover she sent them and make a complaint.

I think take the I pad and delete the photos. Also time for a chat about appropriate behaviour...they are way underage

At 13 I would be concerned about him being out after school til 8 without you knowing where he is / who he's with. He's still a child and far too young to be doing as he pleases. Now you know he is involved in sexual activity you need to be having some serious conversations and redrawing the boundaries / rules a bit imo.

Does he not have a regular after-school routine/activities? Come home, tea, homework, supper bedtime etc.? Not to mention some sort of house-rules about letting you know where he is going whenever he goes out - or in this case, staying out. If he has, how is he explaining the sudden deviation from this and how is he getting his meals, his homework done etc. If not, probably time to sit down with him and negotiate - and give the appropriate warnings, as others have suggested.
