I'll join you. DD is taking one gcse this year and is not looking forward to it. She did do tolerably well in her mocks last month though. She just doesn't seem to take revision seriously. I have taken the approach that there's not much I can do other than offer time, resources, advice, etc when they're asked for.

School should work on revision techniques/learning styles / scheduling study etc with the kids before hand. Get her to talk through what's been going on there, how she sees it working for her, and work with her to do it - leave her in control though.

Motivators / treats/ breaks are important too.

For DS for instance 2 yrs ago for GCSE we bought him a video game he really wanted and he made me keep it till all exams done. He then spent a week playing it lol.
This time for A2 he's motivating himself. He has been to his last party and isn't going out at all till after the exams. His plan. ( as is us getting him up at school time even on exam leave). I think I'll take him out fir breakfast when I have a day off work though..
