ds was suspended for 2 days for carrying a craft knife to school
it was a genuine non deliberate dumb thing ds did
it stays in his record for a year
schools take a very dim view of reoffending and of disruptive kids

boys seem to hit this 13/14 age and lose a little grip on things. ss is of that strain, dosent care etc. some of it is bravado in front of mates etc. ss was suspended for three days at a time. had to sign contract for readmission. however the school also issued exclusion warnings for behaviour, lack of work etc, but the drinking and swearing was instant exclusion. i would make hime carry on the school day at home so he didnt think it was a holiday, this included PE if that was timetabled! . My ss has now left school with no qualifactions due to his behaviour. the friends that he was trying to impress have naturally got their act together an o longer wish to know ss. you can use this as an example to you son if this would help. hope things work out

Don't know if you are still interested but I have 2 ds both grown up now. ds1 suspended for telling maths teacher to fk off , also broke bones in hands several times due to fights, spent 1 night in police cell for underage drinking and had many other escapades. Happy to report that was a long time ago and ds1 went onto uni, is now manager and earning more than I have ever done, married and a wonderful dad himself. Recently he chased off group of lads that were smoking behind his house!
