Driving lessons with my daughter not as bad as expected (in fact I think she is probably better than me)

I thought we would have epic rows about the biting point and gear changes.

But she is really good. I think perhaps because she has being riding a moped for a year and she knows the roads etc.

Teaching my dd to drive is actually enjoyable. What am I doing wrong?

Mind you, HOW can she be 17? Scary moments.

You are teaching your own child to drive?

DS1 had his first lesson yesterday, with an instructor.
He now knows it all and of course he thinks his parents are crap drivers probably true as passed test in days of horse and carriage

Definitely won't be teaching DS to drive myself. He hates me telling him the correct way to do things so it would be a recipe for disaster to take him out driving in the car.
Have booked him 3 young driver type lessons as a Christmas present (he isn't 17 until Nov) as I figured it would be safer if he tried driving on the disused air field that they use rather than having his 1st taste of it on the roads later in the year old fart here who learned to drive by using supermarket car parks on a Sunday in the days when supermarkets weren't allowed to open

I'm teaching DD1 (17) too. We've had our moments, mostly because she thinks she's a very good driver and I don't agree, but on the whole it's going very smoothly. She still needs experience of driving in lots of traffic, but is coming along nicely.
I'm planning a couple if lessons with an instructor before her test, so she can learn the correct test techniques though.

DD is still doing well and we have yet to have a shouting match. Amazing.

She has her theory test next week and has had 2 lessons, instructor thinks she should go for her test at end of Feb if she passes the theory.

Bless her, she loves it.

GetOrf, have you had your licence for 3 years already?Shock Seems like just yesterday you passed your test. But then I'm old and the years pass faster...

DD has failed her theory test twice - once by 3 marks and once by 1 mark. She's sitting it again this Thursday - fingers crossed.
