I have two ds one 15 one nearly 17. They can be lovely in their way, although sometimes i wish you could board them like a dog when you go on holiday!
Up until a year ago they hated each other used to get physical at times and couldnt even breathe the same air or they would fight over it. They are a little better towards each other now. But every now and then one of them will erupt into this huge rage.
This morning ds1 said the kettle was scaly and the filter was dirty. ' thats it, we need a new kettle, I am NOT making coffee with that kettle its disgusting. I hate you, i hate this house so much, i hate you all, I am not going to college tomorrow' and so on, at the top of his voice. Ds2 is ok but he will erupt in a few days, reckon he is just building up to it. I used to find myself argueing back, but now i talk quietly to them, say my bit and go off and do something else while I am singing along to the radio, even though sometimes I want to howl find it all so exhausting.
Dh works away for weeks at a time so its just us a lot of the time. My ds are both 6 feet tall with size 12 shoes , they tower over me. What happened to my two delightful little boys that sat next to each other in a double buggy? It will get easier won't it? So I keep telling myself.

It should get easier but then new ishoos erupt Grin

My 21 yo can throw a wobbly like you've described, but does have ADHD so has an excuse for acting his shoe size. BUT he thinks he's getting married soon Shock

My 23 & 19 yos live together 200 miles away, which eases the tension a bit.

Mine are two years apart too and I sometimes look back nostalgically on that double buggy.
Remember what it was like having two in nappies?
Mine don't fight that badly but I do miss the years when they were the best of friends making mischief together.

I have 4 teens.. aged 18,17,16 and 13.

I. Am. Now. GREY! Grin

Mostly they aren't too bad, and I saw 18 yr old off to Uni this weekend , but at times they have made me near homicidal! (DS1 in particular was EVIL for a while)

However I much prefer teens to toddlers, cos just now and again they have real conversations with me!!

Well, guess they have their good points too. My ds1 especially can be so funny, he cracks me up sometimes. You would never think he had a fit over the kettle this morning been nice as pie ever since. I just say to myself I will miss them when they are gone, this won't last forever.
I certainly do remember two in nappies, wouldn't want that again so maybe its not so bad.
Why are their bedrooms so disgusting though just found a congealed pizza under ds2s bed stuck to a sock. Yuck!
