Should I allow my 15 yr old to wear thongs?

My daughter Riley is 15 and wants to start wearing thongs becuase all the other girls do. I don't usually have a problem with whatever she chooses to do, but I just feel wierd about this.
My husband Matt, being the typically male, doesn't care and said I'm a slight hypocrite as I waer them myself and let my eldest wear them too.
I just don't want my daughter to be like the other girls I see with everything hanging out, or should I let her make her own choices? HELP!

You may want to get your post deleted and not use their real names - if they indeed are.

Are thongs fashionable with 15 year olds - I thought they were a bit old hat now.

i wear thongs as i don't like a visible panty line - it is not a sexual thing at all. So I would let dd wear them if she wanted.

I would advise that she wouldn't wear them under jeans though, as g-string poking out of the top of hipsters looks vile. Is prob best to go commando when wearing skinny fit jeans.

let her wear them, she's a the age where you cant really stop her anyway. so not worth the aggro

Yes or ask MNHQ to delete the names but let the post stand.

FWIW dd wouldn't be seen dead in thongs as she thinks they are sad in the extreme - she wears boy style short thingies, or girls y fronts from bollocking Jack Wills which cost £12 a go.

Yes - i would say pick your arguments OP.

How would you realistically police it anyway? Ask to check her knickers? Just let her wear what underwear she wants.

What a peculiar first post Lauren.
And, while \I don't really think you can stop her, I have one word for you. Thrush.

They're not seen as sexual things anymore? Well that's a lot off my mind.

And I thought they were 'old hat' too, but it seems their slowly sneaking their way back into girls panty draws.

Thongs don't give you thrush if you wear cotton ones.

If you choose knickers made from manmade fibres you have more problems than thrush!

And, with the phrase 'panty draw' comes confirmation that you are in fact a man. Lame.

How does that make me a man? Just proves I've been married for way to many years. I've also been taught the offside rule

How does 'Panty draw' identify her As a man or a troll?
Or a filthy pervert just for having these concerns?

Panty is just such a porntastic/creepy word.
