Blackberries

Blackberries are everywhere in our garden and DD2 picked a big bowl. Unlike our raspberries sorry pigs not enough for sharing.

I thought I would check with Rodents with attitude website to see if guineas are allowed blackberries. After reading several declarations that piggies love in moderation so they don't get sore mouths or the runs a blackberry treat, I tested the theory on my girls.

Blackberry: Naughty ate greedily and all manners went out the window.
Millie Pig ate it with gusto, afraid she might miss out on
something good.
Coco was a Diva and had hers held whilst she ate it.

Raspberry Leaves: As mentioned on RWA
Naughty did the head bopping I want more thing
Millie ran away with her second leaf so Naughty wouldn't
steal it
Coco Meh its ok, I've had better.

DH gave blackberries to our bunnies at the weekend

Seriously stained paws, and very happy bunnies

Daren't try it with ours. Scruffy only eats green food and Smoothpig's white coat gets stained enough from tomatoes!

I have some in the garden, so I might try some on the piggies.

Handily forgets the fact GP5 is a Himmy who adorned herself in strawberry juice last week

You might be alright with your little Himmy. Millie has a ginger face and the blackberry didn't touch the sides. No stains, greedy thing Grin

My new babies are too nervy to eat from our hands yet but they do run right across the food plate Grin so her belly would be purple.

They can fairly eat as well, I give them the same amount of food as GP1 (plus they all have hay/pellets/water) and while he leaves a few scraps , they empty their plate completely.

(No idea where they put it though, hollow legs?)
