Bloody rats...!

I take back EVERYTHING I have said on this board about how lovely, funny and friendly pet rats are. They have eaten my phone charger, which I stupidly left on a one-metre high table. They must have worked together using block-and-tackle to get up there. And I can't even be cross as one of them is getting over a chest infection and this is the first sign she was actually back to normal evil behaviour. Aaaargh!

Now Down they are STILL lovely, still funny and still friendly.
Just a bit naughty and opportunistic,

And it's taught you to keep everything out of reach of their freakily skinny little paws Wink

You can see the appeal of guinea-pigs here can't you. My pigs could fold gravy easier than climb / assemble block and tackle . (Though my little piggie tries to climb the bars Hmm )

Give 'em a hug, you know you want to Smile

Keep everything out of reach?? This table has smooth, curving legs and and an overhanging top. I think they must have been wearing crampons, or possibly they built a rope bridge from the headboard. Guinea pigs sound like a lot less trouble, and I like the "wheeeek" noise and I bet they don't eat electronics.

Books
Shoelaces (while the shoes are being worn )
Shoelaces of random shoes
A piece of indigo blue art paper that had them peeing/poohing navy
Carpet
Onion skins in the veg basket (which was in a cupboard)
The paper bag of flour, we were [shocked] at their weepy little eyes till they were rumbled

These were my childhood guineas , my DDs guineas are angels Wink

Grin 70 at the pooing navy! I do love them, but Christ this was annoying. but I thought one was going to die last week, so I can't complain too much Thanks for talking me down, I was looking at the stuffed hamster thread and thinking dark thoughts!

Ohh reading this makes me miss my rats. My girls chewed through the wire to the router once leaving me phoning o2 for hours trying to figure out the problem with the Internet Grin

I haven't read the stuffed hamster thread but I can imagine how your thoughts lead you to wondering if you had a piping bag, a small enough nozzle and some cotton wool.

It's brilliant that your little rattie is on the mend and rude with health Grin, rodenty types are a huge worry when they're ill,

Hahaha. Sorry, they are gits aren't they? The connector for my monitor is dodgy from where they've barrelled into it trying to get away from my hands on my desk!

My two boys are the only ones we free range, and whilst they don't tend to chew, they love climbing into my frogged knitting box and yarn. My yarn is on a pair of shelves 6ft off of the ground and wall mounted. They use anything and everything to get up there Hmm The frogged knitting box is on the shelf behind my desk though so I don't blame them too much for that one.
