Cocked up on the parenting front but Coco loves me

Coco loves brown paper bags. A new bag in the hutch is the only time she gets assertive and pushes the other girls out the way.

Some weeks ago DD1 and I had a blitz on her room and I asked if I could have a particular bag, she agreed.

Last night I cleaned out the hutch and got the girls in from the garden. They came in to a clean hutch minus Primark bag.

Today I asked DD if I could still have the bag. I thought it would be obvious what I was doing to do with it. Apparently not Sad. Coco is sitting in the very special brought from New York as a keepsake Hard Rock Café Bag Confused DD1 came in the living room and yelled MUM! I jumped.
"You said I could have" I tried to justify. "But I thought you'd use it to put stuff in" DD1 replied with the huff. "Well Coco is loving it and she is your guinea pig" I soothed. Believe me, that didn't down well Hmm

DD1 is now out with DH. I've had a brain wave. I've got DD2 camera battery on charge. As soon as its powered up I'm going to take as many pictures of that ruddy bag before Coco loves it too much ie does a wee, poo, chews or eats a window in it as usual.

I'll post a picture when I can Grin

The only way that you will salvage this is a trip to New York to buy something else and get another bag Grin.

The fact Coco loves it and is DD piggie won't wash. Though if she looks uber cute for a photo it might help.

My DD has a collection of Superdry bags but they're too glossy for the pigs.
I have an Office bag but I haven't worn the shoes yet so I'm keeping that.

Another trip to New York Confused Nooooo!!!!Shock

I'm living in Prom Dress Hell atm. I'm making the dress. Added to the usual muddle of our house the living room is resembling an East End Sweat Shop. A migraine has stopped me from getting on the last few days. I am beyond caring that I can't find the correct colour lining. I am still discussing size, amount and ways of attachment of Swarovski crystals with a supplier. Any day now I'll be rocking slowly in a corner.

Few things cuter than a guinea pig in a paper bag. I usually go for the pret bags.

I keep meaning to give him a 'against animal testing' lush bag. That would be a good photo op.

Oh really I never thought of paper bags. I buy the cardboard tubes but paper bags much easier. Anything they can't have? I assume removing rope handles is a must?

Check out eBay for a replacement paper bag you'd be surprised what is on there.

In GP1s chubbier days he got caught in a Primark handle (they were string at the time, they're paper now)
He let out an almighty ragey scream, (though TBH he could've eaten his way out if he'd calmed down and thought logically Grin )

Sellotape, packing tape, staples, shiney paper and anything too coloured I'd avoid.
Any rough 'papery' paper gets shredded for them (letters, envelopes with the plastic window removed, )
I give mine newspaper, they don't eat it, some pigs do.
And they love to chew cardboard .

Mine currently have 2 boxes in their cage. There is fierce competition over who gets to sit smugly in the larger one. It's usually Smooth (top pig) but Scruffy raced in last night when Smooth was distracted by parsley. He looked so pleased with himself as he sat there. Then he realised he'd missed parsley time Confused. Felt sorry for him so gave him parsley in the box. Smooth never noticed.
