Hi,
We have a new rat which got a few days ago. We used to have a pair initially, but one died, we we're left with a 1yo male who's miserable, so we've got another one to keep him company. Hopefully we'll be able to successfully introduce them.
BUT - this new one is a little bitey bugger. I've had lots of rats and other rodents before, and obviously been bitten a few times, but this one just goes for you as soon as you put your hand anywhere near him and really digs his teeth in.
Any tips on how to get him used to handling? Should I just leave him be until I introduce our two and then hope he calms down once he settles in a bit? Should I introduce them sooner rather than later or would it be better to get the new one a bit tamer first?
