Small pets

My rabbit died

It was very sudden and while I was on holiday. No one knows why, the vet did all she could but my favourite little rabbit just died overnight.
I feel quite silly for getting upset as we only had her for 6 months, but she was the smallest, naughtiest, liveliest, bounciest rabbit ever. I still have her brother and sister (who to be frank are happier without her) but I miss her dearly.
She made a big impact for a small bunny. We keep finding "evidence" of her, like her little pink lead she liked to walk on. And crying.

Aww Gay Don't feel silly for being upset, I have 3 girl bunnies and love them all and would be gutted if anything happened to any of them:(

My oldest bunny has a lead too and my family think i'm mad for walking her on it:)

I am so, so sorry to hear this Gay. They always take a little bit of your heart when they go, but still manage to stay behind there as well. ((hugs))

Oh poor you Gay40 that's so hard on you ...and no need to feel silly whatsover ... I would feel the same if anything happened to one of my two rabbits... I think they easily have as strong individual characters as dogs and as such leave a big hole when they go.

One of my much loved guinea pigs died when I went away at the beginning of the year (and her companion died of grief 10 days later) and I still haven't forgiven myself (even though we had left proper provision for them etc and trip was unavoidable). So sending lots of Brew and sympathy your way.

She was so obviously our favourite as we have loads of photos and video clips of her up to no good and doing naughty things - she loved to sit on top of the fish tank and was the only rabbit light enough for the roof to hold her.
MrsG refuses to throw away a top that the rabbit chewed through.
She had bags of character, that's what we miss.
