I've just had to tell our DC that our 5.5 yr old piggie died yesterday evening.
He had a lovely last day as he had cuddles with 2 of our DC on 2 separate occasions.
It was strang last night when we went to bed.
It was too quiet!
There was no squeaking!
Sad

Oh - how sad...... It seems to be the season, we lost ours this year too.. takes a while to get used to no wheeping.....

But sounds like he had a lot of love on his last day.... so sorry...

oh Sad myliferocks

It sounds like your pig had a quiet and peaceful passing though. They can sometimes go completely out of the blue like this.

And 5.5 yo is a good pig age.

The no wheek wheek will be weird for a while (it took months for me to get used to opening the fridge, rustling a bag or chopping something when I had my pigs as a child).

We've buried him in the back garden next to his brother who died back in February.
DS2, who is 9, has made a little headstone out of cardboard and sellotape.
The place where the cage was looks empty already! Sad
