Naice hay?

My GPs favourite thing in the world is grass. There is less about now and I'm looking for an alternative. 70 suggested Naice Hay and I got a bag of camomile hay from a not-loved pet shop. £3.49 for a 300g bag [hshock]. I can't sustain that.

Does anyone know of an online stockist of Naice Hay which will not induce bankruptcy? [hgrin]

I buy Burgess Excel Dandelion and Marigold herbage from PAH. My girls love it and go burrowing about in it to root out the flower heads that are in there. PAH sell it for £4.99 per kilo, but they often have it on a 3 for 2 offer. I'm sure you can probalby get it cheaper on line though.

I buy the naice hay on special offer too

If you have a Jolleys Pet Shop near you they have ReadiGrass (IIRC 1kg packs).
I bought a huge bag of Equine Readigrass (said it was suitable for furries)

I'm still using the bag ,it smells fresh (sort of malty smell). They don't have it every day. It makes GP2 a bit sneezy so I have to limit it anyway.

I tend to give naice hay when my GP2 has overdone the veg or grass and has a soft pooh situation. It helps keep GP1 happy (otherwise it's not fair for him to miss out on veg)

I used to buy from Farmways online but they don't seem to offer small animal products.

There's Pet Supermarket that looks quite good (free standard p&p)
Most of them are same price for naice hay as Petshops though.

Thanks guys. Pet supermarket looks great - lots of choice and good prices. I'll get some ready grass. Think my piggalettos will like that.

Redi grass lasts ages! Even the small bags!

I give naice hay in a small pile and the rest in meadow hay. I can't afford for the little sods to pee all over it!

I'm still managing to cut some grass for the boys at the moment. It's not been cut for a good while so the edge bits are quite long.
They had an hour in their run last week with cardboard and a box+fleece. But they wanted in after a hour. They did have a skip round and a Popcorn.
I took pity on them and gave them some cut grass today (even though it's not the nicest job in the world. ( I rinse it in tepid water to clean it and take the chill off) Wink

I used to get naice Devon Meadow Hay at the Range when I lived in Wales. Unfortunately there isn't one in Scotland :( (But I do load up the boot with it when in visit the inlaws in Carlisle!)
