Remind me. Do I need to trim the Guinea Pigs' nails?

I had piggies from early teens til my late twenties but somehow I can't remember what the advice is. I remember doing rabbits nails but honestly can't remember if the GPs ever needed it. The girls seem to have very scratchy catch nails ATM maybe because theyve not been in the run fir the best part of two weeks poor things. Their hutch is nice and big but nothing for them to manicure on... Help please?

Yes you do, even though you risk life and limb with some guineas (no, of course I don't mean you GP2) -little git takes a few layers of my skin each time .

GPs can suffer fractures to the small bones in their paws if the nails get long. I'm assuming they'd be walking back on their heels.
I'd never heard of it before but it was on a Rescue website. Sadly some of their GPs they take in are very neglected.

Gardening gloves, small animal clippers, and buckets of parsley needs to be your tools of choice!

Ahhh it's coming back to me now with mention of gardening gloves... GP2 is going to need the gp equivalent of a piggy-straightjacket and be wrapped snugly in a towel - fortunately she likes it. GP1 won't give me much bother as she's easily bribed with food

Where would any of you lovely lot suggest I get such clippers? ...all those moons ago I used to use my brother's animal nail clippers (rabbits GPs and all kinds in his menagerie) but we don't have any of our own and it looks like we're going to need them. Any suggestions/tips/ recommendations gratefully received and thank you for advice so far
