Hi we recently got 2 rescue rabbits and purchased Hawthorn Lodge from Pets at Home. It's a great hutch but we are struggling to get a cover for it, pets at home do not do one and ive looked on line but I cannot find one big enough. Does anybody know where we can get a custom made one or have any ideas of alternative solutions? I am getting worried as its getting cold and they need some form of protection. Thank you

in really cold weather i put a heavyweight blanket on top of the hutch then put some tarpaulin cut to size on top. Though my rabbits mostly stay outside in their runs even during hurricanes Grin

My rabbit lives outside and his hutch had no cover last year and he was fine. The year before my DH fixed up a plastic sheeting arrangement that could be pulled down over the front to keep rain out ,but last year the dog ripped it off and it never got replaced. To be honest my bunny is 9 yrs old , very large and is out in the garden every day unless it is really heavy rain or snow hopping about in his pen. I think they are quite hardy as long as they have a nice cozy sleeping quarters to snuggle in.

Have you tried eBay? I checked the dimensions and found one that was a little too big but lined the outside of the hutch with loft insulation to pad it out!!

Thanks for your responses tried eBay and amazon the hutch we have is 5ft wide the only ones we've seen only go up to 4ft wide. It looks like we will be going down the alternative route of tarpolin and bricks
