Horizontal stripes are slimming anyway- it's vertical stripes which are to be avoided.

tethers i thought VERTICAL were slimming and horiz were, er, fatting

I am 38H and personally I wouldn't wear it.

But then I wouldn't wear horizontal stripes.

Would love to be able to, but it would just look hideous on me. Though I am an apple.

If you all over body shape is smaller, but you just have big norks, then go for it.

I do love it.

I think the neckline is the problem rather than the stripes; hard to tell, but it looks quite high to me.

More of a scoop would be better.

Common misconception, MamaG- I have always thought horizontal stripes were more slimming than vertical, but it was proved recently. It was on the one show and everything

The neckline is the real problem, not the stripes; IME (currently a 36G expecting baby no. 1!) V necks and scoop necks are the only things that are remotely flattering to big norks.

I agree it is the neckline. I recently bought a horizontal stripe top ( I am a 38DD) and it looks great on.

Well,I have this in navy,am a 34H,size14,hourglass figure.I love it,as it is long, and has proper long sleeves.Thought it would be hideous, but it is lovely.Might get another colour actually. The neckline is deffo higher than I would normally wear, but it is still cute on.

I wouldn't no.
And big tits do need a scoop or v neckline.

It was on QI the other day that horiziontal stripes are more slimming than vertical - i have avioded horiztonal for years but now I might dare ....

I'm 32E and I think the neckline is too high. Try M&S for nice striped tops with more of a scooped neck.

I think there are some stripy tops with drapey necklines around now as well.

It was on QI about the stripes too, must be true . I'm still to scared to wear them though!

I'm a 32E and I wouldn't.

neckline too high and the cut off line between the plain and stripes is at the wrong point, rights across the boobs drawing the eye there.

I got a nive deep V sailor stripe fitted top from Bravissino last year.
