Good "French" Nail polish??

Hi,

Hoping you girls can help me out here! I like to have my nails painted a very faint french polish colour (I don't do the white tips though, just the pinkish/nude colour). The one I have at the moment is by Rimmel but I find that after a day, it starts to wear off a little and doesn't really last. I only wear one coat of it, as I find that 2 coats looks a strange colour.

Any tips for a good, hardwearing french polish? Also not too expensive (under a tenner would be good). It's the kind of colour that almost looks like there is no nail varnish on, but gives the nails a much more "done" look, than if I am actually not wearing any (if that makes any sense!).

Thanks in advance!

I have an Essie one. Will go and look for name.

Ok - sorry name has come off. Anyway, it is an Essie pink french type colour, lasts well, colour is good. I'm not massively into nail polish but have tried the equivalent in Revlon and Bourgeois and this is better.

The absolute best one I have found is the Chanel one - its totally perfect and very pale, very natural looking. Everything else (including the Nails inc - think its Molton Street) is too pink on my pale hands.

It's no. 16 - Ballerina.

You can't even really tell when it chips as its so natural looking

I really like Bourgois Rose Lounge - it just adds a very slight tint and is really natural looking.

I second the chanel ballerina one too. It lasts about a week and a half on my nails (if i dont do any housework or washing up) Its a lovely natural colour too.

I love OPI polishes - Passion is a perfect shade of pale pink-looks polished and lovely but not noticable if you know what I mean.
Also they last for ages and dont chip.
Also purchased Russian Navy for my toes
