Why are all jeans low-rise and skinny!

I'm a size 14-16 and hate the nice fashionable low-rise skinny jeans as my flabby bits roll over the top! Love that muffin look...

Anyway I need some high-waisted jeans, boot cut but not too flared, that won't break the bank. I mean REALLY won't break the bank. The last jeans I bought were Tesco Value at 3 quid each, and they actually did fit nicely, but they only do one kind and I'd really like some faded black ones.

M&S do good ones that aren't too low- they start at twelve quid, I think.

Alexander McQueen brought us low-rise, I think. RIP.

M&S, I didn't even think of trying there, haven't been in there for years! I always thought they were a bit expensive, but £12 is good. And Littlewoods too. I've been looking in the wrong places! charity shops

have a look on the codes and vouchers board, theres a littlewoods code floating about.
havent tried the south jeans myself, but did try the M&S, at advice of MN and thought they were crap.
the black clearly had white flecks, cheap denim, cut in just the right place to make me look pregnant.
dont know about the blue.
my thighs looked awful in them too.
arse was fine

Next do generously sized (ie size down) black jeans in all sorts of styles and they're not too bad. About £20.

Uniqlo have all different styles of jeans for around £25. Worth a look maybe?

Thanks everyone! Have looked up all your suggestions on the internet, now I'm off for a marathon trying-on session tomorrow before I spend all my DH's hard-earned!
