why are clothes manufacturers so determined to have my norks on show?

I am sick of it. I work in an extremely conservative environment, wear a suit all the time, and like to have simple, stretchy tops to wear underneath. But every single one I try on dips down to show cleavage. I just don't and can't do cleavage at work.

Does anyone sell tops with a shallow neck? Anything called 'scoop' neck is a disaster. Tops which look fine on the model like this one turn into low-cut ones on me.

I'm not enormously bosomed, a size 36E I think, and a size 16. I'm not trying to wear balconette bras. The cut is just wrong.

I mostly wanted to moan, but any suggestions welcome!

I know what you mean - I have a stash of lace-trimmed camisole vests in various colours for this reason, but you mught think they look a bit too lingerie-like in your work sitch.

Usually find them in White Stuff, Jigsaw or Kew.

I have the same problem and am stupidly glad that someone else shares my misery. I have big boobs and showing even a teeny-weeny bit of cleavage makes me look like Mata Hari. I am in a profession where I do a fair bit of bending over drawings and models, so do need the top to sit tight against my skin, but nooooo....the top sags and my boobs are on farking display.

I too can't do scoop necks. In fact, anything other than a crew neck is a disaster. Lots of people sing the praises of H+M t-shirts for layering, but for me the neckline comes half-way down my breasts

I find Next and Tu (Sainsbury) crew neck t-shirts are the best. Both brands don't have a good rating on MN, but I don't care...they make t-shirts the way I need them to be, so they will get my custom, so there!

Can you layer underneath with a high cut vest? like ourlady suggests but without the lace if you don't want to draw attention to the area?

jamais, the problem is that vests are never high cut enough! they sometimes look OK, but the stretch over the bust pulls them down and within half an hour there is cleavage again.

I am going to stick to boat necks, but it's not a great neckline for a largish bust, and crew necks really emphasise any looseness around the jawline.

I have 2 cheapo vest tops that are definitely high cut and which I wear under stuff as I don't want cleavage (teacher).

Am not overly endowed with norkage though.

Will check make - I usually find vest tops way too low cut even for me.

I work in a conservative enviroment, and if a top might show lower than I want, I layer with a vest underneath (I like the M+S ones as they are nice and long now too - the lace topped come out highest), or if they are marginal, I wear with an M+S lycra slip/cami which cling nicely and are fairly good coverage.

I have been thinking about trying Cami Confidential where it's more of a pulling away issue, but haven't tried one yet

I have a couple of M&S lace top vests, but I can't wear them for work because of the same problem.
